Todd Fothergill, Founder & CEO of Strategies For College, Inc. has been active in higher education, college admissions and funding since 1990. A former college faculty member at Towson University and Franklin & Marshall College, Todd has assisted over 4,000 families while in private practice.
Todd’s unique approach to college planning integrates cost management, student academic credentials, and family priorities so that parents use their resources wisely and minimize debt funding while not sending their students to colleges they feel they have “settled for.”
Todd has been an active faculty member at The Boston Tax Institute since 1998 and is a faculty member at The University of Vermont Tax School. His two CPE courses (Strategies For College and Financial Aid Tactics) are registered with the CFP Board of Standards. Todd has also presented these courses in whole or in part for state CPA societies in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont and for several chapters of the Financial Planning Association.
A frequently interviewed expert in his field, Todd has been featured by Bob Veres in The Dow Jones Investment Advisor, quoted in SmartMoney, Kiplinger’s, The Christian Science Monitor, The Journal of Financial Planning, The Wall Street Journal, and several other national and local publications.
A graduate of the University of Vermont, Towson University, and Rutgers University, Todd is a Charter Member of The National College Advocacy Group.
